Welcome to The Future of White Park!

White Park is Concord, NH's largest downtown park and new improvements are being planned for this local treasure. First up: a new Skate House! The current Skate House building was built in the 1950's, but had been closed for more than decade, due to disrepair. A group of community residents was appointed by Concord's Mayor, Jim Bouley, to raise money for a new Skate House as part of an innovative model of private-public partnership.

During the April 2018 Concord City Council meeting, Mayor Bouley appointed a team of local residents made up of neighborhood representatives, recreational users of the park, and hockey enthusiasts, as a fundraising committee, led by Skate House Committee Co-Chairs Chris Brown and Jennifer Frizzell. The Committee's members are City Councilor Byron Champlin, Tom Champagne, Laura Simoes and Kristyn VanOstern.

Fifty-percent of this $1.15M project will be financed through private donations, and 20 percent of that goal has already been met through a $108,000 donation from the Black Ice Hockey Association’s annual tournament.
